Wheaton Drama, Inc. (WDI), located at 111 N. Hale Street in downtown Wheaton, announces auditions for its 2008-2009 season opener, The Odd Couple by Neil Simon.

Auditions will be Sunday, July 27, and Monday, July 28 at 7pm at Wheaton Drama’s Playhouse 111.

Callbacks, if needed, are Wednesday, July 30 at 7pm. The cast list will be posted by 5pm August 1st at www.wheatondrama.org. The read-through and first meeting will be August 4 at 7pm.

There are roles for six men, played late 30s to 40s, and two women, played 30 to 40. The women need to have believable working-class British accents.

All who audition should print and complete the audition packet, and should read the script before auditioning. A list of the sides we will be reading at auditions is available here.

The show is directed by Bill Barry, Jr., assisted by Jennifer Skidgel. Production management is by Polly Ludena.

The Odd Couple will be performed Thursdays through Sundays from September 19 to October 12. Shows are at 8pm Thursdays through Saturdays; 3pm on Sundays.
