WHEATON, IL. — Wheaton Drama Inc., the venerable theater troupe, has announced its 2014-15 season, an eclectic array of theatrical offerings that promise to delight its established audience and attract new patrons to Playhouse 111.
Mad Mid-Mod Musicals: June 26–29, 2014 — A retro revue featuring tunes from the 1950s and 1960s.
The Last Five Years: Aug. 8–17, 2014 (7 performances) — A two-person musical depicting a young marriage.
Amadeus: Sept. 19–Oct. 12, 2014 — The fictionalized account of the rivalry between composers Mozart and Salieri in 18th-century Vienna.
Cinderella: Nov. 14–Dec. 7, 2014 — Rodgers and Hammerstein’s enchanting take on the classic fairy tale.
It’s a Wonderful Life radio show: Dec. 11–14, 2014 — Journey to Bedford Falls for this perennial favorite, brought to life as a radio show.
The 39 Steps: Jan. 30–Feb. 12, 2015 — A hilariously frenetic reworking of the Hitchcock film, with all the characters played by just four actors.
Enchanted April: March 27–April 12, 2015 (3-week run) — Four London women rent a villa in Italy, renewing their spirits and their worldview.
Spamalot: May 22–June 14, 2015 — The musical comedy based on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, with familiar characters and lots of surprises.
