Auditions for Titanic the Musical

Wheaton Drama is holding auditions for their production of the ensemble version of “Titanic the musical”.

This is an unpaid, non-Equity production.

Titanic is a musical with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone. It is based on the story of the RMS Titanic which sank on its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912. The musical opened on Broadway on April 23, 1997, in a production directed by Richard Jones; it won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Auditions:

  • Monday, June 26th 7-10pm, and
  • Wednesday, June 28th 7-10pm

Location: Wheaton Drama 111 N. Hale Street, Wheaton.

Auditions are by appointment and are for adults age 14 and up. If you are unable to attend the in person auditions you can submit a self-tape audition. Please email the unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link to the email address listed above. All self-tapes must be submitted by June 28th, 10pm CDT.

Please prepare a 32-bar song cut in the style of the show, and 1 contemporary monologue. Dialects are not necessary for auditions, but you are welcome to do one. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your key. You will receive an email confirming your audition appointment date and time. Any questions should be sent to the email address above.

First possible rehearsal: July 9th. Offers will be made by phone. If you are not cast, you will receive an email no later than July 1st.
