Love lets your spirits depart!
This heartbreaking and hopeful adaptation of the award-winning book by Lisa Genova tells the story of a university professor at the height of her career who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Fiercely independent, with a husband and two children, Alice strives to make sense of her changing world as her memory begins to falter. This inventive theatrical adaptation puts Alice onstage with “Herself”—one person represented by two actors, providing the audience with a wider window into Alice’s world.
The performance of Still Alice on Friday, February 7 will be ASL (American Sign Language) interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The matinee performance of Still Alice on Sunday, February 9 will be followed by a special talkback event featuring Still Alice playwright Christine Mary Dunford and Hadi Finerty, Senior Program Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter. This one-time event will begin shortly after the conclusion of the play. The talkback event is included in the price of admission for the February 9 performance.
“Still Alice” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com
